1TB storage in a microSD card is not a myth anymore. Micron and SanDisk (Western Digital) announced the world’s first microSD storage card with 1TB capacity at MWC 2019.

The card type UHS-I microSDXC supports the A2 specification which is perfectly compatible with Android. Micron said that you can store 40 hours of 4K HDR video, thousands of 40MP originals and so on. In terms of specifications, the Micron C200 uses 96-layer 3D QLC flash granules with dynamic SLC cache granules for acceleration.

SanDisk 1TB microSD specs:

The SanDisk (Western Digital) microSD card has a maximum read speed of 160MB/s and a maximum write speed of 90MB/s. The Micron microSD card has a maximum read speed of 100MB/s and a maximum write speed of 95MB/s.

SanDisk 1TB microSD card price and release date:

SanDisk 1TB microSD card will be available for sale since April. The SanDisk 1TB microSD card price in the US is 449.99 US dollars. Thus the SanDisk 1TB microSD card price in India is approximately Rs. 31,999.99. Micron’s products have not announced prices, only said that they will be released in the second quarter of this year.
